So, yesterday I promised to reveal some peaks at a fun project I made last weekend with the Pink Paislee Queen Bee collection and a 7 Gypsies Artist Tray... and here it is!
Don't tell my grandmother, but this is her birthday present! I just have to add some pics of the kiddos, and a few sweet words... then it's all hers!
Enjoy!

Tell me about it! How did this time get away from me?! The shoppe has been bustling this summer, and it is looking pretty good these days! So, what have you been up to? Around here, it has been camp after camp, class after class, trip after trip! Our latest adventure was to Natchez, where I was able to catch up with some old friends and spend some time with a new one... Melissa! I miss you so much!
While in Natchez, I taught the rolled flower make-n-take... so much fun! So much fun that I think we'll do the same make-n-take here in the shoppe very soon!
New lines you can find at Anthologies:
Scrapbooking - We've got...
Brooke by Crate Paper
Thrift Shop and Fly a Kite by October Afternoon
On Holiday and Paper Girl by the Girls' Paperie
Queen Bee by Pink Paislee
And our walls are filled with inspiration! Come see all of the wonderful projects and layouts we have created with these fun new lines! Also, stop by the blog tomorrow to see a sweet little project I created with the Queen Bee collection and the 7 Gypsies Artist Tray!

Some of you know that I have had the amazing priviledge to be a part of the Girl's Loft design team since meeting THE Margie Romney-Aslett lay spring. Oh, I <heart> her! Anyway, for some crazy reason my project is not showing up in the gallery on the site, so I decided to add it here! Talk about a major undertaking... this wreath takes a lot longer to create than you might expect. Okay, so maybe I just took forever because I was also catching up on Project Runway that night. Either way...
So, I've had some great response to this little creation... it's on display at the shoppe (thanks, Cristin, for repeatedly spelling it that way, and for making me want to, too!) and I decided to go ahead and teach a class on it. It will be in April, don't fret... that's only a few days away! Not the class, the month of April... it's only three days away! Enjoy some sneaks (okay, so it's a total giveaway... i'm just used to the lingo)
by the way... this little princess has already claimed this creation. I'm so glad that she wants to display my happies...she thinks I'm fabulous!

when I had big plans to get some work done... then life happens, and a morning with Brodie leads to zero-productivity. On days like this I have two options... (1) gripe at kids while I'm trying to create (tip: that doesn't foster happy art!)... or (2) accept that I'll just have to wait until bedtime to pull out my supplies and get craftin' because the only way to stay sane is to just go outside and play with a (almost) three year old little man!
So, I actually did get a major thing done... I took some pics of Kristyn's stitching class for this Saturday. She really is great! There are only three spots left in the class, so reserve your spot soon! Cost $14. You'll have plenty of leftovers to make coordinating pages and projects!
Kristyn inspired me to get a little crafty, and I've designed a few more stitched layouts that are available as kits. They'll be revealed at the class on Saturday, so don't miss it!
I've also included a little sneak of what she's done with the super cute Dear Lizzy collection... I'll post more of those later!
Also in the works.... I've had a lot of interest in more girls' camps this summer. details will be released soon! Can't wait to share all the fun things I've learned this year!

So, sweet Kristyn sends me an email with an idea for a stitched layout class. I love how she sends me these bits of inspiration... it gets me all happy, and then the wheels start turning.
We go from this...
my mind's eye layout challenge sketch
Inspired by this...
my mind's eye designer Tamara Jensen
Working with this...
the Elliot collection by Scrap Within Reach, Dolce Thickers, LYB snap brads, fabric strips and twill
To create this...
Well, you have to wait for this one! I can say that we decided to make this a two page layout with several stitches and few other techniques!
So, bring your machine and a smile on Saturday, March 27, and we'll just have a great time! We're still working on cost and time, but I'll let you know soon... along with a few sneaks of the project!
p.s. - I put together a Christmas themed layout inspired by this sketch... it's available at the shop... I guess I should do a post on that one! Okay, one post... coming up!

Crop Night this Friday - 6 p.m.-Midnight! As exciting as that is, there is another reason for the exclamation points.... New Moon is being released at 12:01... That means that we are definitely leaving on time (not that we can't come right back!)... Walmart is having their release party... maybe I should check on availability. No matter, this post is really about the crop, right? ;)
Bring your happy self and several projects to work on. If you don't have a project in mind, come anyway, and I'll find something you can work on! Just kidding... you all know this is just a great time to relax and unwind at the end of another busy week!
I'll be demonstrating the Yudu machine... this could get interesting! Really, you'll just be my guinea pigs... I've got a kids' project day at the library on Saturday, so I've got to get in some practice!

So I went a little order happy last week... thank goodness for days like that! "What did she get," you're wondering? Studio Calico (featured in a moment), Jenni Bowlin, Pink Paislee, Jillibean Soup, Disney goodness from Queen & Co... to name a bit!
How wonderfully delicious is this Studio Calico assortment of Home Front and Anthology?! The journaling cards come in packs of 4, and they are double sided. All papers are double sided, and the colors are amazing... very vintage feel. I think my favorite is this wrap sheet...
oh, I just can't pick a favorite! The best part?... I have some great papers from Jillibean Soup's Old World Cabbage collection that is going to coordinate perfectly (it should be here later this week!)
Jenni Bowlin goodness...
Queen & Co. Magic Collection...
Pink Paislee goodness...
Check out the 365 Degrees collection at www.pinkpaislee.com link to their blog!
